Once you have set the strategic direction for your agency, you need to outline the specific steps to take to grow revenue, produce results, and increase profits.

The GET Results process helps you choose your tactics and develop the implementation plan for success.

What it does

The GET Results Action Planning process helps you build a plan that meets the objectives of your strategic plan.

Together, we will use the AIM-GET Framework to take an in-depth look at the key tactical elements:

  • Growth
  • Execution
  • Talent

The process will review your business development program (including prospects, pricing, and proposals).

Next, we look at client service to identify areas for improvement, both for results and profit.

Finally, we review your recruiting and retention efforts to make sure you have the team you need to take you to the next level — however you define that for your own business.

Who it is for

PR & marketing agency owners who choose to pursue the GET Results Action Planning process typically have one of the following interests:

  • They have their vision and strategy clearly identified, but they need help developing an implementation plan.
  • They need help growing revenue but aren’t sure the best way to go about doing that.
  • They are concerned about profit holes that may exist and how to close them.
  • They want to improve results for clients while being as efficient as possible.
  • They are struggling to recruit and retain the best team possible.

The process works best for public relations and marketing agencies with fewer than 25 team members.

The GET Results Action Planning engagement will be more successful if you have already completed the Set Your AIM process.

The strategy will be shaped by your own personal goals to ensure that the time and energy you put into the business is properly rewarded.

Your questions will be answered, your assumptions will be challenged, and you will walk away with more knowledge to grow your agency.

How it works

It starts with a detailed questionnaire to provide a background for our conversations and to start to uncover the key issues we need to explore.

A kick-off call sets the stage for the rest of the engagement and refines the agenda to meet the needs that we identify together. 

Next, we hold a series of remote work sessions to discuss your business in-depth and review the fundamentals. At each step along the way, we will identify items for follow-up and offer practical advice and solutions that you can begin to implement immediately.

At the conclusion of the work sessions, we will schedule a follow-up session to review progress and offer additional feedback as needed.

Timeline

It takes about 4-6 weeks to complete the entire GET Results Action Planning process.

The first step is to complete the questionnaire. That usually takes about a week to gather the necessary information and provide thoughtful answers.

The kick-off call takes place shortly after the questionnaire has been completed and returned.

Next, we will hold about a half dozen remote work sessions of about 90 minutes each to explore the information you shared and offer immediate feedback and suggestions.

You will share drafts of the key elements of your action plan for Chip’s feedback and suggestions as we move forward on each section. He will also likely review some of your existing business development, client service, and human resources documents and processes.

There may be additional emails and phone calls as needed to complete the work.

Cost

A typical GET Results Action Planning process costs $4500.

Additional fees may apply for agencies with multiple owners.
