Based in Washington, DC, FTI Consulting’s Government Relations team will have Robert “Bob” Moran and former Congressman Robert “Bud” Cramer (D-AL) as its Co-Heads. Moran was also named as a Senior Managing Director, and he and Cramer will both report to Jackson Dunn, who leads the Public Affairs & Government Relations practice.
With almost 30 years of experience, Moran served most recently with Halliburton. Prior to that, he spent time at both the American Petroleum Institute and the National Ocean Industries Association. Cramer spent 18 years in the US House of Representatives as Congressman from Alabama’s 5th district before joining FTI Consulting in 2014.
“Bob and Bud have decades of highly relevant experience and a wealth of uniquely complementary expertise to bring to bear for our firm and our clients,” said Brian Kennedy, Head of the Americas for the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting. “Their leadership will help grow our government relations business, but the value they will deliver as part of the multidisciplinary teams we assemble for clients contending with crises, oversight and investigations proceedings, litigation and complex transactions involving foreign investment in the U.S. will undoubtedly extend far beyond Washington.”
