Positioning & Pricing for Profits (P3) Workshop

The ability to deliver excellent results for the right clients at the right price lies at the heart of any successful agency.

That’s how you simplify business development, produce great results for clients, and ensure that the business works for you.

What this online workshop includes

In this workshop, SAGA Founder Chip Griffin will help small agency owners work through the 3 P’s of a successful agency: positioning, pricing, and profits.

Find your focus

Clear positioning helps you to attract your ideal clients and repel the red flags. It makes growing your pipeline and closing new clients much easier than trying to be all things to all people.

Even most agencies that claim to be “full service” end up having a target market and suite of services – even if they may not realize it.

Chip will show you how to use your own experiences to shape your focus, define your ideal client, and communicate that positioning to the marketplace.

Set the right price

Many agency owners struggle with pricing. Too often it is driven by fear – especially the fear of losing a deal and the fear of leaving money on the table.

Often prices get set based on what perceived competitors are charging, what you have “always done,” or the prices you used when working for a previous employer.

Chip will explain an approach to pricing that works for you and your business. His floor-to-ceiling pricing model has you focus first on the minimum amount you need to charge to turn a reasonable profit. From there, you have the opportunity to enlarge your profits to the maximum amount that keeps you competitive in your target market.

Manage profitability

No matter how well you sell new prospects on your services and how efficient you think your pricing may be, none of it will matter if you can’t actually perform the work profitably.

Many agencies don’t even know how profitable individual clients or projects are, let alone the actual financial impact being caused by scope creep or inefficient management.

Chip will outline some straightforward processes to help keep your profitability on track while providing you the information you need to improve your future pricing exercises.

Who this workshop is for

The content will be tailored specifically to agencies with 25 or fewer employees, although any owner or senior leader of a PR or marketing agency would likely find value in attending.

Most attendees will agree with one or more of the following statements:

  • I’m not sure what niche I should be targeting
  • I can’t figure out if my pricing is too high or low
  • I feel like I’m working hard for too little return
  • I’m finding it difficult to attract new clients
  • I’m having a hard time finding employees/contractors who will work for what I can pay
